The labourers were accused of stealing a door handle and engine valued at N250,000, from their employer.
They, however, pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 287, 411, and 308 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
Mr Leo said that the offences contravened Sections 281 and 217 of the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.
Mr Idris-Abdullahi said that the suspects would be prosecuted after full investigation.
He said the five suspects were arrested for committing different offences in different parts of the state.
Mr Adejobi said two suspects, Chinedu Iyanabor, 18, and Sunday Iyagbesun, 52, were arrested at the site.
Mr Okuoimose said the suspects jumped through the fence and broke into the house of a resident, Ubaka Agbasiefo, to commit the offences.
The defendants were arraigned on a five-count charge bordering on conspiracy, kidnapping and unlawful dispossession.
Two suspected kidnappers, Mohammed Abubakar, 42, and Clinton Niche, 18, have been arrested while trying to collect ransom money at the Agbara area of Ogun.
