The Prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on March 14, at 7.30 a.m. in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr Abiodun said that the arrest was in continuation of the command’s clampdown on thuggery and other vices in the state.
Mr Soto has already been charged with first degree murder.
Mr Aliyu said the police also recovered a large cache of ammunition during the operation.
The police said the suspects had confessed to the crime and would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
They, however, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate M.O. Tanimola.
The NDLEA said that the duo used multiple identities and wore hijab to evade security scrutiny.
The defendants, Chinedu Oluwa, 22, Emenike Orji, 25, and Patrick Agore, 29, are facing a two-count charge.
