A joint search-and-rescue operation for the bodies of the climbers resumed for a second day on Saturday.
Motim alleged that the defendants conspired with others, now at large, to steal cocoa pods valued at N500, 000, belonging to Saheed Jolaosho.
The Prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on March 14, at 7.30 a.m. in Ado-Ekiti.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them.
The adjourned until October 8 for trial.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants stole one Bajaj motorcycle valued at N220,000, belonging to Mamuda Mohammed.
She, however, gave each of the convicts an option to pay N60,000 fine.
“No words can describe how I’m feeling right now, but I’m happy,” he said.
