The Magistrate, A.K. Araba, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
The prosecutor urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him study the case file and assemble his witnesses.
The magistrate didn’t take the defendant’s plea.
Mr Ikenga stated that the suspect was caught on June 14 at Fegge in Onitsha, the commercial nerve centre of Anambra.
Mr Ademola, a driver with no fixed address, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
“On arrival, the team discovered the lifeless body of the man dangling from the ceiling of a classroom in an Islamic school in the area,” the police stated.
The victim was using his mobile phone in the toilet when it fell inside and he went to get it from the sewer but did not make it back alive.
