She added that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary.
Mr Bakare faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison for wire fraud. Sentencing is set for September 3 at 9:30 a.m.
The prosecuting counsel said that the defendant collected the money from the complainant and converted it to his own use.
The prosecutor, who tendered the convicts’ confessional statements and the army uniforms as exhibits, asked the court to sentence the farmers accordingly.
