The president urged Nigerians to uphold the late monarch’s legacy by fostering unity, peace and national cohesion.
Both schools located in the state capital, Ilorin, were shut on May 14 due to clashes, disrupted learning, and property damage.
“Our people really don’t know how much states spend on bailing out local governments, and that’s the issue there,” Mr Abdulrahman said.
Mr Shettima, who said this on Saturday at the 37th annual Akesan Day in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, also called for a more united country.
“Hoarding fuel bought at subsidised price and creating panic in the state is opportunistic and will not be condoned,” he said.
“My friend Mai Mala Buni is afraid because I told him in clear terms that if we are pushed to the wall, there are people that will ask the legality of his of being a chairman.”
