The police spokesman said the IGP also approved the posting/redeployment of 17 Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to various commands and formations.
PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani said this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
IGP Baba has approved new police commissioners for three states and five formations to enhance operational and administrative effectiveness.
“We need the cooperation, support and encouragement of all, as no stone will be left unturned as far as fighting crime and criminality is concerned,” the police said.
He said the CPs affected by the deployment were Abubakar Lawal, Kano, Kolo Yusuf, Zamfara and Ahmed Ammani, Enugu State.
Mr Ndukwe explained that the arrest followed a distress call about the nefarious activities of the suspect within the Topland area of Awkunanaw in Enugu.
Mr Ndukwe said the raid was in pursuance of the crime-fighting strategies devised by the state’s Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Lawal.
