Nigeria is boosting livelihoods through climate change adaptation by implementing strategies in agriculture, water management and disaster risk reduction.
Mr Momoh stated that the Niger Delta Ferry Services Project would enhance the transportation system in the region.
He said the EU had a lot of projects in all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
The minister said the federal government was committed to harnessing the strengths of the country’s regions to drive balanced growth.
Mr Momoh assured the management that the federal government was looking forward to providing a permanent site for the commission.
The North-East Development Commission has called for urgent improvement in the region’s healthcare sector.
The beneficiaries, drawn from 18 LGAs, were trained in shoemaking and bag production.
He said the commission identified effective and efficient electoral training as the key to unlocking professionalism among election personnel.
NDDC minister Abubakar Momoh has warned the members of the commission’s board against underperformance during their tenure.
According to him, they have visited Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ondo and Edo.
