He urged immediate government action on the non-implementation of the 2025 FG-ASUU negotiated agreement in the affected states.
Mr Adamu said the outstanding issues include non-payment of five years’ promotion arrears for academic staff, covering the period from 2018 to 2024.
“We are demanding that whatever is given to ASUU should also be given to us because we face the same economic realities,” Mr Adeyemi said.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene urgently.
He said the delay is already undermining the smooth execution of the agreement.
The ASUU chairman blamed the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation for the delay.
Mrs Ogunsola noted that the graduates were thoroughly trained.
The latest development came weeks after ASUU accepted a 40 per cent salary increase for academic staff.
Mr Ubi said ASUU rejected the 35 per cent salary increase offered by the federal government because it deviated from the recommendations of the Briggs-led committee.
According to him, the best way to revitalise public universities is through sincere negotiation.
