SSANU has urged President Bola Tinubu’s government to consider merging the payment platforms developed by university unions.
“We don’t want strikes again, and this can be achieved by investing more in education.”
“Some of the affected staff cutting across many universities have been alleged to bribe IPPIS officials for the purpose of getting captured on the platform.”
Peoples Gazette has compiled seven key scopes that Mr Tinubu may consider to live true to his promise of reducing public corruption and enhancing the judiciary.
On Wednesday, aggrieved workers of the University allegedly sacked by the Governing Council of the institution, paralysed academic activities on campus in protest.
ASUU has urged President Bola Tinubu to prioritise providing basic amenities nationwide.
“We don’t believe in fuel subsidy. There is no subsidy in this country…Sell it to your people at the Nigerian rate and not in dollars.”
“The situation of the Nigerian academics is even doubly precarious; they are prophets without any honour at home.”
“Well, there is nothing wrong with removing the subsidy, but there must be a palliative to cushion the effect of the subsidy.”
The judge also said that the defence had shown a lack of seriousness by not filing its defence and instead opted to file an application for a stay of execution.
