Police say the baby’s mother and the dispatch rider are neighbours, and that the baby is fond of the rider.
In a viral video on social media, a dispatch rider was accused of stealing a baby and trying to transport the child as a parcel.
The Lagos Police Command said they found the victim’s body at Carter Bridge by Ogogoro Community, Lagos Island.
“The accident involved a black Toyota Highlander with registration number BDG 654 DC and driven by one Akinola Sulaimon.”
According to reports, the deceased, known as Bama, was attacked in his sleep after being drugged. He had three children with his wife. They were married for eight years.
Now viral footage of the clash showed the hoodlums using machetes against themselves.
The police commissioner’s security details also arrested a female resident, Adebola Fatiregun, for leading a protest against Mr Odumosu.
“There was a fire incident at 18, Otigba Street, Computer Village, Ikeja early hour of today. The fire engulfed a shopping complex,” said the police in a statement.
The children between the ages of four and six, mistakenly locked themselves inside a Lexus SUV that have been parked on the street for weeks.
The accused, himself a father of four, lives in the same house at 5, Iyalode Street, Ajegunle, Lagos.
