The speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, has announced the appointment of Opeyemi Ajibola as the assembly clerk
Mr Oyebanji said the 2026 budget was tailored towards the completion of all ongoing infrastructural development projects.
Mr Oyebanji commended the fallen heroes for their sacrifice.
“I call on the Ekiti people to fervently pray for this government and the state.”
The budget estimate of N159,572,481,915.51 has 56 per cent allocated for recurrent expenditure and 44 per cent for capital expenditure.
A letter from Gov. Abiodun Oyebanji containing the names of chairpersons and members of boards of parastatals was also read by the speaker.
He said this was aimed at repositioning and strengthening the governance institution for productivity and service delivery.
The Ekiti House of Assembly has urged Nigerians to maintain peace in the new year to have an unprecedented transformation in the state.
