Mr Adebayo accused Mr Tinubu of prioritising his personal electoral interests over his constitutional responsibilities.
Mr Adebayo, in a statement on Tuesday, said there was no constitutional or legal basis for restricting political parties’ activities through administrative or judicial action.
He called for broader political cooperation among stakeholders.
Mr Adebayo was elected and affirmed as the consensus candidate by the delegates from the 36 states and the FCT.
Mr Adebayo insisted that such incidents must prompt a more responsible and proactive government response.
Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has called for policies that strengthen citizens’ participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.
Mr Adebayo said the apex court affirmed SDP’s right to manage its internal affairs, including the appointment of an acting national chairman.
“By making imported fuel less competitive, the government is tilting the market in favour of local refineries such as Dangote and other modular plants,” said Mr Dare.
“Tinubu is going to think of twins tax or ‘multiple childbirth tax’. He’s just thinking of how to collect more money. It’s wrong,” the politician claimed.
