Mr Ayantayo said the training programmes comprised 26 generic courses and 28 specialised skill-gap training designed to strengthen capacities of the workers.
The commissioner said coconstructive dialogue is the most effective means of driving concerns and urged the union to embrace it.
The commissioner said that such a workforce was capable of driving positive change.
“Government has invested a lot of money on the rail project.’’
He said that artisans were key contributors to economic growth, employment generation and wealth creation.
