Until recently, Mr Fani-Kayode was a staunch promoter of Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello for the position of president.
Mr Kalu argued that the APC must now present a presidential candidate from Mr Abubakar’s North-East to counter the former vice president’s influence.

Two senators – Emmanuel Bwacha and Ibrahim Danbaba of PDP resigned their membership of the party in recent successions and defected to APC.
