The sector commander further stated that the accident involved 25 persons, with nine killed and 16 injured.
FRSC says a number of vehicles have been destroyed in a tanker explosion at Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Tuesday.
“The fatal accident could have been prevented if passengers cautioned the driver against wrongful overtaking.”
The accident occurred at 12:01 a.m. and was caused by wrong overtaking, speeding, and loss of control by the luxury bus driver.
The director also cautioned forex dealers to desist from the habit of defacing or stamping dollar banknotes, as such notes always failed authentication tests during sorting.
A joint rescue operation for survivors was later conducted by both road safety and fire service officials.
