The CAS described the visit of Mr Yakubu as a sign of commitment to strengthen the bonds between both organisations.
“Sadly, further investigation into the incident revealed that truly, a number of innocent civilians were killed in the airstrike.”

The CAS said the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) would deploy all assets and personnel to counter internal and external threats to national security.
He said the NAF had received more support from the Czech Air Force since the initial purchase of the L-39 aircraft in 1986.
Mr Abubakar said the air force would continue to intensify the deployment of its attack helicopters in clamping down on illegal refineries in the Niger Delta.
“To be resilient in our operations, we must proactively address maintenance and logistics support for all our fleet.”
He commended the dedication, commitment and steadfastness displayed by the armed forces.
