The governor said his administration would deliver on programmes that would benefit women in the state.
Mr Aiyedatiwa said the relationship between him and Mr Akeredolu was cordial even before he died despite insinuations by his political opponents.
The statement said both appointments were with immediate effect.
“‘Aketi’, as he was fondly called, is a man of simplistic nature,” said the NDDC governing board chair.
“May divine guidance and wisdom accompany you in this significant phase of leadership.’’
The meeting comes after several months of political crisis between Mr Aiyedatiwa and ailing Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The deputy governor appealed to the governor to ignore the discomfort arising from the “negative news” in the state in the past few months.Â
He said the committee was expected to interface with all contending people in the state.
The protesters shut down the State House of Assembly entrance and prevented vehicular movement for several hours.
