An operational report said the gunfight took place in the Wase and Kanam council areas.
Mr Lamidi is being prosecuted on allegations of murder, attempted murder, arms dealing, armed robbery and kidnapping.
“During the operation, officials recovered several significant items,” the police spokesperson said.
“One AK-47 rifle, two locally fabricated Dane guns, 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and five live cartridges were recovered from the scene,” the police PRO said.
The Nigeria Forest Security Service says its operatives provided critical support to the police to apprehend the armed robbery suspects in Abuja.
She said efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing gang member.
The CP promised the residents a peaceful Kaduna State.
