The politician said he only received N300,000.
The parley was aimed at promoting the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN).
Mr Osuntokun described his ZLP senatorial ticket as a “redundant position”, adding that he was now stepping into “greater moral consequence for Nigeria.”
Mr Osuntokun replaces Doyin Okupe, recently convicted of laundering federal funds during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
The Labour Party candidate said he plans to deal with these issues as quickly as possible, if voted into power in 2023.
Speculations are rife that the former president might be supporting Peter Obi of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.
