He said that Mr Shuaibu polled 35,356 votes to defeat Lawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Mr Niniola also said the federal government would continue to collaborate with other countries to tackle insecurity.
The SDP and its governorship candidate in the November 11 election, Murtala Ajaka, had alleged that APC’s Usman Ododo forged his age declaration affidavit.
The Saturday rerun election was conducted in accordance with the court order.
The APC candidate, Dikko Radda, won the governorship election with 859,892 votes.
Mr Oyetola described the judgment as a miscarriage of justice, urging the Court of Appeal to set aside the lower court’s ruling and affirm their nominations as valid and lawful.
