Mr Shettima stated that his comments were misinterpreted and that he had no intention of defaming his religion.
“That Ibrahim Kabiru of PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner and returned elected,” the returning officer said.
“I know Tinubu will win because of his faith in God and we have worked for it and we believe Nigerians have listened to us just as they have listened to others,” he said.
The current Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, defeated his closest rival Oladimeji Ajijola of PDP with 171 votes.
Mr Suleiman-Oba said the youths in the state could only contribute their quota to the development of the country by voting for Mr Tinubu.
“We now ask their leaders and some of them to come here and make it public about their decision to dump PDP and Labour Party.”
The Bola Tinubu Support Organisation in the UK said it plans to achieve its objective between now and the election on February 25.
“So, we humbly seek the support and cooperation of all road users and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Peter Obi might also theoretically benefit from the financial constraining of Tinubu, but whether it will be enough to one-up Atiku remains to be seen.
Mr Odumboni said the government was committed to providing the necessary support for the sweepers to carry out their roles efficiently.
