Mr Onoja said the operation disrupted terrorist networks across Niger, Kwara, Kogi and the Federal Capital Territory.
He said the Nigerian Army has remained a symbol of patriotism, resilience, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to national service for 163 years.
He said the DHQ would strengthen security operations and support efforts to track down the perpetrators.
According to the report, the successful strikes dealt a significant blow to terrorist elements.
“While the terrorists have done their worst, they should know that the government will never bow to their demand to release their members held by our security agencies,” he said.
Mr advocated stronger collaboration between government and security agencies.
He said ongoing operations had already generated actionable intelligence.
Mr Onoja said the troops also repelled multiple attacks, disrupted cross-border logistics and recovered arms and ammunition in Borno and Yobe states.
The defence spokesman said troops also recovered several arms and ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, G3 rifles, machine guns, and other combat equipment.
