“Both operations have undoubtedly led to the neutralisation of a significant number of IPOB/ESN criminals, the recovery of numerous weapons and ammunition…,” Mr Lagbaja said.
He said that no effort should be spared to bring the perpetrators to book.
“Troops also apprehended four male and two female fighters during the operation,” the army said.
On Wednesday, the joint military task force Operation Delta Safe uncovered two illegal oil bunkering sites in Samkiri.
The commander advised criminals operating in the area to go into legitimate businesses.
“Significant numbers of crimes are committed under the influence of drugs.’’
