The minister said IITA was ready to train over six million youths in agriculture using the ministry’s existing database of those interested in agribusiness.
According to him, the partnership seeks to transform existing youth centres into modern, fit-for-purpose training.
The move marks a major milestone in the federal government’s drive towards a fully paperless and digitally efficient civil service.
He said youths remained central to his administration’s agenda.
He explained that the electric tricycles were projected to reduce transport costs by 40 per cent.
The minister said financial literacy was key to survival in the present-day world.
The minister of youth development, Ayodele Olawande, on Thursday urged youths to shift their focus from street protests to constructive dialogue and negotiation.
He urged young Nigerians to channel their energy into productive ventures within the country.
Mr Olawande stressed that the federal government remained committed to reversing the trend.
Ms Abiola stressed that Nigeria’s future relied on developing ethical, patriotic youth.
