Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya says Nigeria was currently witnessing one of the most challenging times in its history.
A committee headed by Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu was undertaking the census of banditry-affected victims in the state.
“Nigeria is currently plagued with myriads of problems that require sincere and honest interventions of judicial officers.”
The Zamfara government, on Friday, announced a lockdown in Anka, Bukkuyum and Gummi local government areas following the resurgence of bandit attacks on communities.
“In Zamfara, we take the issue of women and girl-child seriously; that is why today we have three women as commissioners, six special advisers and several directors-general.”

He advised residents to use the emergency toll number 112 during emergencies for swift action.
The TV station has defended its actions, reiterating the importance of exposing the extent to which insurgency has affected the country and its citizens.
