The five-day training workshop, with the theme ‘Building Grassroots Innovation in Satellite Technology’, was declared open by Governor Bassey Otu on Tuesday.
Mr Otu said that the new operators planned to turn the estate into a large-scale oil palm plantation.
The swearing-in followed the suspension of the elected LG chairman, Theresa Ushie, by the Cross River House of Assembly.
“Details of the victims are still being gathered. They were seminarians travelling in a bus owned by the Enugu Catholic Diocese,” the governor said.
The governor also transferred power to his deputy, Dr Peter Odey, to act in his capacity while he was away.
“The governor directed the health insurance agency to immediately capture Joshua’s data and urgently carry out surgery on him,” the DG said.
