Mr Maifada stressed that parents and religious leaders also have a vital role to play.
Participating local government areas include Rimi, Batagarawa and Katsina.
Mrs Radda said, “Education is indeed a unique tool that can be used to measure the development of any society, state or country at large.’’
He revealed that 172 local government areas across Nigeria were affected by high rates of maternal and neonatal deaths.
He said the measure was aimed at boosting water supply and irrigation activities.
