The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, made this known while inspecting the ongoing expansion of the Abuja-Keffi expressway on Saturday.
“Under PDP leadership, Nigerians experienced better days—economically, democratically, in terms of security and education,” Mr Goronyo said.
He appealed to Nigerians to continue to support Mr Tinubu’s administration to enable it to provide meaningful development.
The minister advised the contractors to comply with contractual agreements and ensure speedy and quality jobs.
The federal government has commenced 40 water supply projects in Sokoto worth N2 billion.
The minister noted rivers’ important roles in the water cycle, economy, ecosystem, and sustainable development.
This appeal was made during the launch of the WASH Sector-wide Sustainability Checks Action Plan and Sustainability Compact in Abuja.
“We need collaborative efforts among leaders to ensure lasting peace and security.”
“The era of neglecting contracts is behind us.’’
Mr Goronyo made this pledge when a delegation from the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority visited him in Abuja.
