The Rivers government has announced a donation of ₦100 million to support the Bille community in Degema LGA, affected by gas emission, for interim relief measures.
The army said in a statement on Monday that the operations were held in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers.
“Another location Northwest of Omama was also struck as it was observed to be containing items suspected to contain stolen crude oil in objects tied in sacks.”
He added that the air strikes were authorised after confirming the locations littered with these criminals and their activities.
The soldiers were providing security for Eroton, an oil exploration and production company in Alakiri.
