He said all the 18 passengers in the bus were male adults.
He said the crash occurred at exactly 04:02 a.m. while the FRSC tow truck was removing the broken truck along the route.
The motorists who spoke with journalists on Sunday in Abuja described the action as a ploy to increase hardship for Nigerians.
He, however, said that the value addition would include organising simulation scenarios.
According to Mr Kazeem, the corps recorded a total of 4,691 road crashes from January to June.
Mr Kazeem attributed the low figures to what he termed as “the corps’ rejigged operational tactics towards creating a safer motoring environment in Nigeria”.
The unfortunate fatal crash occurred on kilometre 20,Ovia Bridge inward Benin, Edo State at exactly 9:04 a.m. on June 26, 2023.
The corps spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, stated in Abuja on Saturday that the opinion was baseless, unfounded and did not reflect the position of the FRSC.
“This is, however, not only for the outward Lagos section where the RTC occurred alone but also the inward Lagos section as well.”
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it remains a safety agency, not a revenue-generating outfit.
