Mr Umar explained that the two repentant Boko Haram members were arrested for theft.
“Ari Mustapha of Mairari village in Konduga reported that some gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents invaded his home and kidnapped his two daughters.”

The army added that motorcycles and weapons were seized from the terrorists as the troops engaged the terrorists.
“It is our desire to finish strong in the next 16 months and ensure all hands are on deck for the last lap.”
Mr Osinbajo asserted that “it is a fight we are determined to win,” claiming that “by the grace of God, all of these evil forces will be completely exterminated.”
The troops were also said to have recovered 98 assorted weapons, including AK-47 rifles and 2,589 rounds of ammunition.
“The terrorists did not loot drugs but took away bedspreads, towels and outpatients chairs in an unused small clinic. They also set fire on the surrounding grasses.’’
“Over 37 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists were neutralised, while several of them reportedly suffered varying degrees of injury,” the army said.
