The founder of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Boniface Aniebonam, says the party will contest the Ondo and Edo governorship elections later this year.
“The President is indeed courageous under the circumstances,” he said.
“The NNPP could only accept the proposal if Mr Atiku would support Mr Kwankwaso to dislodge the APC in 2027.”
He added that Mr Aniebonam provided the platform for the various contests in which the party engaged in the 2023 general elections.
Boniface Aniebonam said the tribunal judgement was “a judgment of the mortal being rather than justice of the living God.”

Mr Abdullahi announced that Mr Kwankwaso had been stripped of the NNPP national leader status by the board.
Founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Boniface Aniebonam, said his party’s presidential candidate was a leader “with honour and integrity, courageous…”
Mr Kwankwaso has attracted Ibrahim Shekarau and other Kano bigwigs to the party, driving claims he might positioning the party as the country’s viable third force next year.
