The Catholic Church noted that the situation “has been further compounded by continuous hiking of bank interest rate and multiple taxation.”
“We need to repent of all our wrongdoings, as individuals and as communities, as leaders and as followers, as Church and as a Nation,” the Catholic Church said.
The CBCN acknowledged the government efforts but noted concerns about the impact on its citizens.
“Both church and government are aligned in our shared commitment of a brighter future for all Nigerians,’ said the SGF.
“We are credible. That’s why the countries and institutions agreed to support our development with the loans,’’ stated Mr Buhari.
