The institutions have been constituted into the steering committee to implement the policy which requires a collaboration between the private and public sectors.
Mr Abdulmumin said that the apex bank was committed to supplying the “approved indent” for the smooth running of the economy.
The residents said it was surprising that they had to return to and rely on the reintroduced old notes because the new notes which were to replace them were not in circulation.
“I have been coming here to sell cow meat on a daily basis, but the turnout has not been encouraging, so I decided to stay at home for some days.”
The apex bank said the idea became necessary as the country was gradually marching towards the alternative payments policy regime.
NDIC has assured bank customers of the safety of their money against any bank failures.
She said since the incident occurred on February 17, all banking operations in the communities in the LGA have been suspended in the entire Oron LGA.
“The CBN needs to do much more. It needs to supply much more money into the economy,” said the TUC president.
With the injection of cash by the CBN, business activities in Abuja markets have returned to normal.
