The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has detected a confirmed case of the SARS-CoV-2, known as the Delta variant in Nigeria.
“We are currently scaling up on genomic surveillance, working very closely with ACEGID.”
“The virus is spreading fast, causing mild symptoms in some and severe illness/death in others,” he said.
The NCDC boss said that though the youths are at lower risk, yet “lower risk does not mean no risk.”
