Mr Odoh was ambushed while returning to Abakaliki after the party’s campaign outing.
The gunmen drove in two Sienna vehicles and attacked the policemen at a border community between Ebonyi and Enugu State.
The arrest was in connection with the crisis and killings of December 26, 2022, in Ekoli-Edda community.
The victim, Charles Nwankwo, was killed in his house in Ogboji Ward, Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi.
The attackers stormed Oyeku Kalu Chima’s residence in Owutu Edda town of Afikpo South Local Government in the wee hours of the day, a police account detailed.

The police spokesman in Ebonyi, Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the killing on Saturday in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Mr Anyanwu said the team also recovered assorted arms and ammunition, military uniforms and many incriminating exhibits.
