In his Christmas message to the state on Wednesday in Uyo, Mr Eno said that people’s welfare would continue to get priority attention.
He said transitioning Nigeria into a productive and self-sufficient nation required patience and perseverance.
“On this unique occasion, may we renew our spirit of unity, look beyond the walls of tribe and religion that have always separated us as a people,” said Mr Obi.
Mr Abure said there is nothing that would bring more joy to humanity than to be ready and willing to forgive.
“The money we spend in settling the military and police at checkpoints is transferred to passengers; hence the fare increase,” he said.
Mr Osigwe urged the lawyers to “cherish the triumphs we’ve achieved together as a Bar and humbly learn from the challenges that have tested our resolve.”
“Schools will resume very soon, so every family needs to set priorities right. Life continues after Christmas, and the situation is critical,” said Ephraim Ini.
Mr Soludo wished Nigerians a merry Christmas filled with joy, peace and prosperity.
“Remember, a healthy and happy you are the best gift to yourself and those around you, so stay safe, sober and have a wonderful Christmas,” he said.
Mr Yahaya said Christmas presented an opportunity for Christians to pray for the prosperity and well-being of Nigeria to surmount its economic challenges.
