The lawmakers commended the AMAC chairman for being proactive and active in ensuring that AMAC residents enjoyed the dividends of democracy.
Mr Maikalangu thanked FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for approving the distribution of the fertiliser bags donated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The minister said, “Who are these people who want to protest?’’
Speaking at the ceremony in Apo Town Hall, AMAC chairman Christopher Maikalangu emphasised that the food items were strictly for vulnerable residents.
Mr Wike handed over the motorcycles to the six area councils of the FCT and security agencies in Abuja on Monday.
Mr Maikalangu, at the ceremony, said the gesture was to help cushion the effects of economic hardship on communities.
The commandant said he declared war on vandals on assumption of office.
Some of the achievements included the rehabilitation of 135 roads to be completed in a few weeks.
“We inherited some agencies and parastatals from the previous administration, including the AMAC marshal.”
He, however, enjoined the recipients to make optimal use of the palliatives.
