The police in Anambra said they rescued two victims of a collapsed building at Ekeoyibo Market, Amawbia, in the Awka South Local Government Area.
The police spokesperson said the suspects were apprehended with the help of community members.
“They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo.’’
The DPO mobilised and led security operatives to the scene and restored normalcy.
Mr Hundeyin said the woman was arrested by police officers from Oke-odo Division.
Mr Alabo said in the gun duel, two of the hoodlums were killed and others escaped with bullet wounds.
He said the command launched an investigation which led to the arrest of four suspects in connection to the crime.
The woman was said to have gone to church to give a testimony for safe delivery after stealing the baby.
Mr Okoye said a citizen reported to the police that a Mack truck and four minibuses were involved in the accident at IMSU Junction, along Okigwe Road.
The state’s police spokesperson said the nabbed suspect will be prosecuted.
