She said the suspects were arrested on the night of June 27 during a coordinated operation in Otukpo Local Government Area.
Ms Adeh said the CP called on FCT residents to remain security-conscious and vigilant, particularly when boarding commercial vehicles.
Mr Ikenga said the CP reaffirmed the command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts.
According to the CP, 22 were arrested for alleged cultism, 26 for alleged armed robbery, while others were for other various offences.
Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal handed the vehicles to the state CP on Wednesday, on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan.
Mr Ikenga quoted the CP as saying criminal activities could happen within student-populated areas, hence the need to step up the security deployment.
The CP also announced that his men apprehended a suspected armed robber with two Beretta pistols and ten rounds of live ammunition.
The police public relations officer, Moses Yamu, said the suspect was apprehended with a single-barrel shotgun inside the “Evil Bush” in Ohosu.
Ms Anene said that the Commissioner of Police, Steve Yabanet, ordered the deployment to ensure peaceful celebration.
The CP also disclosed that the police had recovered stolen properties and illegal weapons.
