Mr Edafe alleged that one of the suspects usually concealed and conveyed the arms from Plateau to Delta.
Mr Alamutu stated that the suspects were located in a bush they were hiding through a covert operation of the police.
The CP advised road users to always obey and respect traffic officers, saying they were working for the good interest of all in Lagos State.
The police said the investigation revealed that aside from the hoodlums’ involvement in cult-related activities, they were also suspected to be armed robbers.
The CP said the suspects were trailed and arrested on May 1 by police operatives from the Apo Legislative Quarters Division following credible intelligence.
The police said covering vehicle number plates was an offence and would be met with the appropriate sanctions.
He also urged members of the public to remain vigilant.
