Mr Haruna said that the command’s monitoring units and special teams were deployed immediately after receiving the report of the incident.
The CP said that criminals were planning their ways but the police wouldn’t allow them to have their way.
The CP said the police acknowledged the undebatable right of the citizens to engage in peaceful protest, which must not, however, turn violent.
The main entrance of the airport was under lock and key, while no vehicular movement was allowed into the airport premises.
