Mr Ezuruike said the approval announced on April 29 restored long-awaited pay parity for state-employed doctors.
“If the government fails to address these demands at the end of the three months, we will go ahead with our next line of action.”
“The governor has approved for us to replace one on one. So, if a doctor resigns or leaves today, we have the automatic approval of the governor to replace that person.”
Resident doctors in Oyo are asking Governor Seyi Makinde to meet their demands before the rot in the state’s teaching hospital worsens.
“We are 100 per cent in support of the strike because the federal government refused to abide by the agreement reached with NARDs.”
