FRSC said the operational assets were deployed to strengthen the enforcement of movement restrictions during the poll.
The body camera is to help reduce assault on officers and check their behaviour on patrol.
Mr Oyeyemi admonished the redeployed officers to redouble their efforts and be steadfast.
Other security agencies, as well as volunteers, will assist the Corps in traffic management during this period, the Corps said.
The FRSC said escorts’ disregard for traffic law was inimical to safety and free flow of traffic.
Corps spokesman said the move was to forestall incidences of crashes and fatalities on the highways.
