“CP Idowu Owohunwa has ordered the immediate removal of DPO Meiran for leadership dereliction and supervisory ineptitude,” said Mr Hundeyin.
The command also placed a N1 million reward for anyone with useful information that would lead to his arrest.
According to him, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has said that promotion will now be based on merit and seniority.
The spokesperson said the operation was also to support existing frameworks for battling violent crimes.
“The victim was successfully rescued,” he said.
Mr Hundeyin said the command was concerned about the increasing number of defilement cases in the state.
The arrested suspects are currently assisting the police in the ongoing investigation into the subversive plans of the group.
Mr Owohunwa said the committee comprised different NGOs that are into gender, domestic and sexual-based violence issues in Lagos State.
Mr Owohunwa ordered a sanction on the officers who allegedly harassed a young lady seeking justice from the station.
