The Lagos State Police Command has declared Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as PrimeBoy, wanted on Wednesday following his failure to honour police invitation on the ongoing investigation into the controversial death of Mohbad.

The command disclosed this in a statement by its spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday.

“Following his failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command hereby declares wanted Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy,” said Mr Hundeyin.

He added, “Ibrahim is approximately 1.64 m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by tribe. His last known address is 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu. If seen, contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727.”

Mr Hundeyin said the command also placed a N1 million reward for anyone with useful information that would lead to his arrest.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, hereby offers a handsome reward of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira Only) to anyone with useful information leading to his arrest,” he stated.

The police have been investigating the mystery behind Mohbad’s death, and PrimeBoy has emerged as a person of interest in the case.

The police had formally invited PrimeBoy, requesting his cooperation and insights regarding the events leading up to the tragic incident.

However, PrimeBoy’s failure to honour the police invitation has raised questions and heightened suspicions. While the motives behind his reluctance remain unknown, it has intensified the public’s interest in his potential involvement in the case.

Upon Mohbad’s death, PrimeBoy, the late singer’s longtime friend, shared a video to exonerate himself from the controversial incident.

As the nation awaits further developments in the investigation, the controversial death of Mohbad and the involvement of PrimeBoy continue to dominate headlines and conversations, shedding light on the complexities of the Nigerian entertainment industry and its underlying challenges.

The police had taken Azeez Fashola, known by the alias Naira Marley, and Balogun Eletu, also recognised as Sam Larry, into police custody.
