He expressed regret that the power sector in the country had faced numerous challenges.
He equally made it known that the original contract sum for the 12 projects was over N200.9 billion.
The Commissioner for Public Works, Daud Sangodoyin, presented cheques to some property owners on Wednesday at the state secretariat, Agodi in Ibadan.
The 35.6 kilometres road starts from Iwo Road interchange through Olodo to Lalupon and terminates at Odo Oba, the Oyo State boundary with Osun.
The acting governor said the people would begin to see rehabilitation works on some of these roads from tomorrow.
“I don’t know who gave them false information that we wanted to destroy their property,” said the Oyo commissioner for public works.
“We have had the opportunity to get a loan of N50 billion from…CBN. So, we are using part of the loan to upgrade the airport and all other adjoining roads.”
The construction was awarded to two firms, and with a 13-months completion time.
Mr Sangodoyin explained that the old lodge was no longer fit for the governor’s use.
