He urged the people to be law-abiding and vote peacefully, but be alert and ready to defend their votes.
Mr Ologunagba said the party would also stand with the people to protect the country’s democracy.
The party’s spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, said this at a news conference in Abuja about the party’s preparations for the election.
The party advised opposition parties in Edo to read the handwriting on the wall.
The disciplinary committee has 26 members and reconciliation committee 25.
Mr Ologunagba said that the committee would be inaugurated on a date to be communicated in due course.
Mr Ologunagba said the PDP was grieved over the tragic incident that led to the death of scores of young students, with many others injured.

The PDP said by their defection, they had lost the right to call themselves Rivers lawmakers.
The NWC therefore charged leaders, stakeholders and party members in the state to remain united.
