Mr Ologunagba said that the party’s primary election that produced Mr Ighodalo followed due process.
Mr Ologunagba urged all members to continue to work together in the drive to further strengthen the party for the task ahead.
The PDP charged the Inspector General of Police to immediately catch, arrest, and prosecute Mr Yunusa-Ari in compliance with the court order.
According to him, the party is capable of winning elections in a free, fair and transparent electoral process in Nigeria.
The party added, “Members of our party in Edo state and the nation should, therefore, disregard the earlier publication and await the updated list.”
The Peoples Democratic Party has constituted a 152-member national campaign council for Edo governorship elections, scheduled for September 16.
“Our party, therefore, stands by its position that the affected members have since lost their seats in the Rivers State House of Assembly.”
The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has passed a vote of confidence in its acting national chairman, Umar Damagum.
PDP has called on Nigerian leaders at all levels to prioritise the well-being of citizens, especially at this critical time in the nation’s life.
Mr Ologunagba said that the PDP particularly celebrated Mr Mbah for his visionary leadership.
